I saw something today,
A broken star,
Glimmering as it fades away,
Behaving exactly like me.
I saw something today,
The mighty moon,
Not bothered about the fading star,
Behaving exactly like you.
The warm fire whispers,
It wants to keep me company,
It wants to give me something,
Cold breezes to cool me down.
The sun gazes upon me,
Saying in all its light,
I understand you now,
Have some of my cold shades.
Our lives aren't worth much,
They pass in an instant,
like wilting roses,
Irretrievable.
Time is a capricious bitch,
Making it's coat of our sorrows.
From one moon to a star,
From one human being to another,
From one mortal Timelord to another,
I'M SORRY.
