Travel Diaries

Wanderlust (noun); a strong longing to wander

I first grew an affinity for travel from watching Casey Neistat videos. The idea of waking up one day and deciding to pack all your things, leave everything else behind and set off on an adventure with no real endpoint was what fascinated me the most.
There is just something so extremely liberating about travelling that is quite like no other: you stare out the window in true sad-movie fashion; but looking out the small, cramped window of an airplane really does put into perspective how small we really are compared to the macrocosm of life around us - and that gives me a renewed sense of hope and joy.

Furthermore, my father travelled a lot for work, and that meant going to faraway places like Dubai, South Africa, Korea, Turkey, Japan, and the list goes on. He would often bring back little trinkets and souvenirs from the places he visited, and these little things gave me a glimpse into the culture of the said place: their art, their music, their clothing, and other elements the people took pride in. I was very young then, but what resonated with me most was how abundant our world is: there is always something completely new to see and discover, only if you're willing to open your eyes and heart to venture.

I am extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to visit some parts of the world, meet some of the kindest, warmest people, and set sights on the most beautiful things that nature has to offer; and I wish for all of you to have the same experience. Here I document my thoughts and highlights from each of my travels (with some useful tips and tricks you may find handy on your own!). Join me on my personal journey as I navigate this weird and wonderful planet we call home.
