Hazy

School has just started for me after a week of holiday because of the haze. I hope everyone is fine and well, and motivated to be back in school! Do stay hydrated to avoid contracting diseases, wear a mask when you leave the house and avoid outdoor activities. One of my teachers had an asthma attack earlier this week; do pray for his speedy recovery.

In light of the air pollution that has struck the whole of South East Asia, it just comes to show how important conservation of the environment is. Though the Indonesian forest fires may be a once-a-year event, it leaves long-term impacts on many parts of the community. For example, children, especially babies, in Singapore and Malaysia are suffocating because of the terrible weather, and the number of asthma cases have increased drastically. Visibility on the streets is low, and this puts drivers at a risk of encountering a road accident. I believe that it's time that the global community did something to stop these forest fires with respect to the overall well being of everyone affected.

The PT3 and SPM examinations are nearing by the day, and frankly, I'm pretty scared and excited at the same time. Scared of what might happen for SPM, and excited for the end of high school life. My seniors would use to tell me that I will miss school once I'm out, so I'm cherishing the little moments I have left in high school, and making the most out of my time left here with the ones I treasure. I'm surely going to miss the late night talks with my bedmate, the crazy moments with my classmates, random dancing with my best friend, waking up early to watch the sunrise, and the food. (Yes, the food) I've made plenty of great memories with my friends here, and these are moments I will forever cherish. They say high school is the best time of your life, but ultimately, all good things have to come to an end. More opportunities await me, and new memories are to be made.

What was your high school experience like?
